Manual valves are suitable for connecting to a radiator on the supply or return pipe. They enable individual shut off or replacement of the radiator without draining the system. They also enable the pre-setting feature that is used for flow regulation in central heating systems. As a result they combine features of a regulation valve on the supply and lockshield valve on the return.
